October 8 & 9, 2000 (10-08-00) (10-09-00) Today is Monday, and we signed up for a tour to go to Mt. Sinai and St. Catherine's Monastery. Then my parents went snorkeling for an hour or so in the afternoon, at the near garden. Anyway during he day I laid out in the sun for an hour or so, they came inside and watched TV and went to sleep after ordering room service. We had to get up at 10pm and catch the bus at 10:30pm. The bus picked up a couple of other people. Then we started on our way about 11pm. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to drive to Mt. Sinai. We got there about 1:30am or 2am. But they took us to a hotel to get something to drink like coffee to wake us up. We left the hotel about 2:30am and drove to where we had to start walking up the Mt. We didnò´ ¥ven walk five minutes and my parents got a camel to ride all the way to the stairs, and then they had to get off the camel and then walk up the stairs. It was maybe about a twenty to thirty minute walk up the stairs. I was the brave one I started to walk up the Mt. With the guide he helped me a lot. We (meaning the guide and I) made it to the top without a camel it took us about three hour to climb to the top, including the stairs. Now my parents I really don't know I never saw them until we came back down to the bus. I saw them once they past us once but then we past them again. The only reason why they past us is because we sat down to rest for twenty minutes or so. I finally got to the top just in time to see the sunrise. It was really cold once you got up there and actually sat down. My parents said that they walked half way up the stairs and then quit. They took a camel back down the Mt, and I went back down with the guide, it only took us less then two hours to get down. I had fun, but I was a little tired, and worn out. Then we went back to the hotel that they took us to before and had breakfast, which it was about 10am or so. Then about 10:30am we went to St. Catherine's. My parents stayed in the bus because they didn't want to talk any more. They were very tired, when I think they didn't walk or do that much. But I guess riding a camel for a long time is hard work. We finally drove back to Sharm and they dropped is off at our hotels. We went right to the room and laid down I stayed up until 8pm, and my parents stayed up until 6pm. We got back about 2pm. * Mt.
